Can I use my student grant or loan to buy a cheap used car legally?

I am going to go to online college. So I don’t need a car for that reason. But I do need a car to go get printer paper and school supplies whenever I need them. I would also like a car for reasons that are off the college subject. I have a son, and I need a car to take him to doctors appts, etc.

So can I use my federal pell grant or student loan to buy a car?
I need a car to go buy a laptop, printer paper, and other school supplies.

I live in California, and applied at the University of Phoenix online college.

First, I would like to begin with a brief overview. Currently, I am a 21 year old sophmore attending Hofstra University out on Long Island, NY. I took the first 2 years after graduating high school off, because I honestly didn’t know what I wanted to do. I made the decision I wanted to obtain my B.S. in Finance, Business Administration, or Management so I applied to Hofstra University and was accepted.

I now face a major decision in my life and have come here for honest opinions and possible guidance. I just got offered at job with a base salary of ,000 which requires full-time work. This means I must leave Hofstra University, but still wanting to obtain my Bachelor’s. I have been reviewing some online programs which will allow me to do both, which is exactly what I want, but I don’t know where to apply. If there’s one thing I want to make clear it’s that I don’t want to attend a typical online degree program (i.e. University of Phoenix, Kaplan University, AIU, Ashford University, etc). I want to attend a well known college such as Boston U, Penn State, etc. however I can only find MBA programs for such.

If you know of any online programs which you think I may like please let me know as I am honestly caught in the crossroads and have little time to make a HUGE decision. What is the difference between a BS and a BA degree? What about Associates(is there a AS and a AA)?

I am in the military so i would like to go to University of Phoenix online. I want to get my MBA so obviously I want to get my Associates and Bachelors degree in business administration. What is the difference between a BS and a BA degree( UP only offer the BS) so what is the difference in the BA? The University offers the AA, but is there a AS degree?

Need help finding perfect online school?

Hoping someone can help chart my future here with a great school suggestion. I am currently in a two year community college but need to move to a four year program to complete my bachelors. My criteria are as follows:
1. Must be nationally and regionally accredited
2. Must offer complete Business Administration degree online
3. Must not be online only
4. Need reasonable tuition of 0 per credit hour or less (fees included) (I live in Ohio for state schools)
5. It should be a decent school that will look good on a resume (i.e. no University of Phoenix crap)

I guess that is it. Flexible transfer credits would be a huge plus. I am sure there are a lot of schools like this, but finding them in a sea of college scam schools online is proving to be really difficult. Any help is appreciated.

I’m considering doing the Master of Arts in Education/Elementary Teacher Education (leading to licensure) with the University of Phoenix online. Does anyone have experience with this course or is currently doing it and what are your thoughts? Has anyone completed it and had difficulty getting a teaching job or had a good experience getting a job as a teacher? Any words of advice, personal experience or info regarding this course is appreciated!!

I am confused about getting a degree through an online college such as Baker, or University of Phoenix online, or going through an actual univerysity like University of Illinois. What is the difference? I am wanting a degree in Computers and my husband wants a degree in business administration. I need someone to help me clarify. ????

I just enroled at the University of Phoenix to finish my degree in business administration. I own a small business and am getting the degree for myslf but was wondering if at some point if I decided to get a job somewhere else if it would matter so much where I got the degree. How is the University of Phoenix business program different from a State University or other business schools. How is online education viewed by corporate america.
