Mark SingleyStudent Loans Q&A car payment, Credit Cards, credit report, homeowner insurance, income loan, income ratio, insurance, lenders, minimum payments, mortgage payment, paystubs, property tax, report mortgage, Student Loans Q&A, tax returns
I have been hearing that lenders will be discontinuing the stated income loan completely. Does this mean that everyone will need to provide tax returns, w2’s and paystubs to qualify for residential refinance and purchase loans? How many of you can qualify with what you make to refiance or buy a house? Will everyone have to have an overall debt (monthly minimum payments (on credit report), mortgage payment, property tax and homeowner insurance) vs income ratio of 45% or less? Let’s say you make 00 a month can you afford to buy a house, pay taxes and insurance on it, pay your car payment, credit cards or student loans and still stay at 00 month total payments so that you qualify? Does anyone think this is unrealistic?

Mark SingleyStudent Loans Q&A bookbag, clothes, cosigner, everyday basis, financial aid, insurance, own car, shoes, student loan
I will be starting college this fall. There are several things that I need (not like want or think i need but really need). Things like clothes, shoes, and a bookbag are the main things. But I really need a car. There are ways for me to get to school other than my own car but they are not practical on an everyday basis. My financial aid is paying for my tuition completely. I was wondering if i could take out a student loan for about 4,000 to cover the costs of getting a car, paying the 1st 6 mos of insurance, and buying some clothes. If so, is it possible to do with NO credit (good or bad) and no cosigner? if so, please let me know where…

My sister is International Student from Asia. She has Mega Health Insurance offered by her college. During the last year, she got sick. The insurance was effective at that time. However, she got married at the same time, and her name was also listed in her husband’s insurance policy.

Mark SingleyHealth and School 1 million, chronic condition, insurance, job, k max, lifetime, prescriptions, rest of my life
I don’t currently have a job; I’m just a student, so it’s doubtful that I will even keep this insurance the rest of my life. I have a 0 deductible with k max out of pocket and no deductible on prescriptions, but the lifetime max is only 1 million. I know with a chronic condition that would be eaten up, but is it sufficient for now?

Mark SingleyHealth and School employer insurance, government insurance, health coverage, health insurance, insurance, insurance programs, medicare, private graduate school, school health, thousands of dollars, waiver form
I am currently covered by a state-enhanced version of Medicare; my family is extremely low-income and this health coverage is far superior to that offered by the private graduate school I will be attending this fall. However, the school is not accepting my waiver form saying that government insurance does not meet the school’s waiver qualifications (only employer insurance programs do). Can they do this to me and make me pay thousands of dollars I don’t have for redundant school health insurance I don’t need? Anyone knowledgeable enough to know whether this is something I can fight legally? The school and my insurance are in NJ.
