Im trying to go a dental assisting school it only cost ,995. The problem is I already have a balance with Sallie Mae of ,000. They will not give me another loan without having a co-signer, which I do not have. I’ve tried to get a grant but everything on the internet cost money to get the grants packets. Please help I’m trying to start school by June 23,2 008.

did my withdrawl for that semester not go through and can it be corrected by anyone, including someone from the university?
when I withdrew the first time only the loan had to be paid back then all of a sudden the second time I had to withdrawl due to my army injuries i have to pay back grants too makes no sense. but you’re right the university would be the place to start asking lol.
um carebear I am talking about a grant not a loan

I NEED HELP! I filled out financial aid for this school year and I didn’t quite know how it worked. I had a couple grants and I have a subsidized and an unsubsidized loan, but in my MPN (Mastery Promissory Note) it included in my tuition a PLUS loan. I didn’t read on about it, but I now know that it is a loan for my parents to take out. I really need that loan towards my U-Bill and for personal expenses, but I don’t want to ask my parents to have to take out a loan (as the economy is not good right now and I know that would be stressful). I personally will have to pay for my own college either way, but I don’t know if I should have them take a loan out or if I should go to a bank and do it, but either way I will have to have a co-signer.
I’m trying to make the best decisions here, but it’s really hard. I’m active at school and I’m trying to get good grades, so this financial pressure is a HUGE burden on me! Please let me know what you think!

I am filing my bankruptcy soon, and i know it’ll take quite awhile for it to be discharged, in the meantine and possibly before that I want to start school and apply for financial aid and a student loan, will I still be able to even though I have a bankruptcy in progress? and if not, what if I apply for everything now, before I file, but then would filing while recieving aid effect anything? would I not be able to get aid after that? or would it affect any loans or grants I would be recieving at the time?

A already am recieving some financial aid, but i owe a semester which is like 4,000. Im moving out of my apartment bc my job doesnt pay enough and i cant afford it, plus im 4,000 deep with bills.
